BE CONTENT – PHILIPIANS 4:11

In whatever state we find ourselves we should be contented. 

Today may be filled with joy, please enjoy it, if tomorrow there is sorrow don’t worry. Things were meant to be forever sweet for God’s own children, but you remember our enemy the devil, the accuser of brethren won’t let you be, he wants to crush you, he shouldn’t win but let say sometimes he find his way, don’t let him have a stronghold by the way you handle the situation.

In every situation, thank and trust God, don’t let the devil steal your joy by making you miserable by not been contented.

I am not saying bad situations or times are good or part of what you must experience, just encouraging you to handle it the way a true believer should, if you can thank God for your success, you should trust him when things go the other way, if you still pray and worship when you have plenty you should be able to do same even when there is little or none knowing that your God will supply ALL your needs.

LOVE YOUR WIFE – EPHESIANS 5:25-33

If truly couples understand the concept of two being one marriage should be the sweetest thing ever.

Husband won’t see wife as the least part of his body because there is no part of the body that is weak, if you don’t respect your wife as a man, you don’t respect yourself, you two use to be “two” but now you are one, she is you, what you can’t do to you, you can’t do to her, love her as you love yourself.

After God she should be next to your heart, don’t think of money before thinking of her, I don’t know where the mentality of women needing nothing other than money came from, so far I give her money, pay her children’s fees, buy food in the house; it’s all done, then you forget the affection, your major duty is to love her, then provide for her, don’t give provision in exchange for the love and affection you should give her.

Some wives already have all the wrinkles they should have when they are 70 at 35, in Christ own case, he loved his wife (the church), he does his best to present her to himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle… without blemish.You look fresh and she looks like your grandma, watch it, you have a hand in that, she should look like your younger sister even if she is older than you are.

 Wives should reference or submit to their husbands too, that’s the exact will of God. I think the thing that saved Sarah in Abraham’s house was respect seasoned with submission, if she had such a delay and was lousy, nosy or bad mannered, her husband would have found her replacement. If you want to receive, you must give, so husband love and wife submit.

RESPECT YOUR LEADERS – EPHESIANS 6:5

Do you know some will compare work with church and some church with home?

You see a junior staff telling the managing director of the company not to order him around because he is a leader somewhere (church) as well. Some wives because the position they held in church (maybe they pastor the church) is higher than that of the husband (say the husband is a deacon in church), they raise their shoulder and refused to submit to their husbands.

Irrespective of your spiritual level, you should obey authority, obey yourmasters (in the flesh) and not the kind of eye service obedience but as unto Christ. Even God will not encourage disorderliness, pride, laziness or any boasting of such.

Don’t do (at your place of work) what will make people question your service to God.

A woman did something someday and the other woman said this “…and you call yourself a Christian, going to church often…” and still the Christian woman was still claiming right. Someone said it that if you are right but lack respect, patience, Godly virtues to handle matter, you will end up been the wrong one.

God knows when you are wronged, he takes that upon himself, don’t be too forward to justify yourself. Submission is the keyword here.

Give Right – Deuteronomy 14:29

When Jesus taught about giving, aside for you not giving grudgingly or out of necessity, you should not give only to those who can repay you, if you do that, you are not different from the pagan because they will do same, when you give, give to those who you know can’t pay you back, don’t give expecting something in return. 

So that the Lord your God may bless thee in all the works of thine hand that you do, you have to give right, to the Levites, to strangers, fatherless, widow; when you throw a party entertain this people because you know they can’t pay you back, we all give food and drinks to those we know when they are leaving will drop big envelopes, it’s good to earn yourself some cash but any ordinary people will do same.

Jesus is saying be extra in your ordinary give to those who doesn’t have the capacity to give you back

EVERY ONE HAS – DEUT. 16:17

What this bible passage is simply telling us is that there is no man God hasn’t blessed, no one must therefore appear empty, give according to God’s blessing towards you. 

Give your worth, maybe your church appreciate those who give more and you are discouraged to give your little, don’t be, that will make you wrong, your less is not less after all, it’s called the “widow’s might”, that’s all you’ve got and that’s how the lord will judge the perfect giver, by heart and not by size.

When you fail to give, you deny yourself of more blessings or the ability to receive.
