To before warned is to
before harmed, once an instruction is given, it is to be followed, not
following it warrants punishment which could come in any form.
God said to his
children isreal don’t pollute the land (knowing that there won’t be redemption
without the shedding of blood), anyone that shed a blood (kills), the land will
be purified or cleansed by the person’s blood.
Now his beloved
children made shedding of blood(sinning) a daily routine, it already became
their habit. Since an instruction or rule has been given it must be followed.
Then God checked and it
appears all Israel have their hands stained with blood, wow! Then whom should
God kill for cleansing among them, maybe all of them because all have sinned
and come short of God’s glory. He needs his glory back, what a time of great
decision this is for him.
For once we were God’s
enemies (we were sinners) but he gave his only son(himself) to carry all those
our stains, is it that he can’t destroy us all and make us pay for our sins? he can but he is merciful and just.
What a friend, the one
who punished himself for his children’s sins. This kind of love is find no other
place than in Christ.
