Having been blessed by God, when
he already shined his face on you and heaven smile on all that you do, when you
are outstanding your equals.
Then you must not forget the hand
that is feeding you, Yorubas will say, don’t bite the finger that is feeding you.
We remember God when things aren’t moving well, when your work is not
equivalent to your pay, when you get no pay at all.
But when he blesses, we run afar
off, eat everything, share with some friends but refuse to share with God.
Really? Share with God? Yes, he doesn’t eat your sacrifice or whatever you eat,
yes, but when you stay before him and remember all he gave you and give him the
glory, you are sharing with him.
When you eat, drink and do all
that, do them in the presence of God, with the awareness of his presence and
who he is and what he has done.
Don’t be an ingrate, be grateful
enough to give him thanks. That’s all he want.
