I was listening to a message and
the person made a point which is, we’ve got so familiar to the “church” that
we’ve forgotten we are the church.
There is difference between been
a believer and been a Christian, after all the people were believers when some
set of people saw them and were amazed to see such traits of Christ in them and
they gave them the name Christians. That name was based on what they could see,
now you don’t have to believe before you are categorized to be a Christian,
some just have some look of Christ but they aren’t children of God, of course
they do give, they do have compassion on others, they even go to the extent of
loving their neighbors but all these they do without a mind of Christ, these
are just morals.
The Bible made it clear that
“they are not all Israel which are of Israel”, been a church goer doesn’t
qualify you to be a believer and I can also say been a Christian doesn’t make
you a believer. There were two seeds of Abraham but just in one (Isaac) was the
promised fulfilled and the seed counted.
There are children of God and
children of the flesh, those led by the spirit of God the Bible classified as
the children of God, law and routine differ from grace bought by Christ. Don’t
mix things up, the church is not that building but those persons, of course the
body of Christ couldn’t be made with some blocks and cements but with you and
I.
Quit furnishing the “Church”
start furnishing the real Church. Spend more time on what matters that is your
relationship with God not some physical appearances because he doesn’t judge
with that.
