The prodigal son did not just sin
against his father, he sinned against the law of the community, getting his
father’s inheritance before the death of his father and squandering his inheritance.
The moment he did such unlawful
thing and walked out of the `community, they never expected him to step his
foot into that place again, but just one person who’s ever waiting and longing
for his coming; that person was his father, the one who no matter what the son
had done, kept his arms opened for as long as he decides to come back.
What you’ve done is so wrong,
you’ve sinned against God and against man, your act has caused many to sin, you
have indeed poisoned the heart of many, no doubt, man may not forgive you, man
will want you pay for your sins and wrong acts in full, the law will not spare
you; but remember one thing stated in the Bible clearly that those that are
under law shall be judged by the law but your father has given his grace, grace
that is greater than all your sins, forget how big or how long; run to the one
who is ready to erase all and focus on none but you.
If you focus so much on the
people you sinned against, you will still spend more years in the pig-sty.
Jesus is calling to you and knocking on the door of your heart, if you can open
it, your journey isn’t far because he will meet you on the way to repentance
just like the father did to his lost son, how great his the love of the father
to a sinner and how deep is his hatred towards sin.
God can save you from the
condemnation of the society, he can celebrate you when the whole world stand to
disgrace you. He can wash you even if the whole world plan to throw dirt on
you, he will run to you when your victims awaits you to run to them for
punishment.
Don’t ignore his kindest gesture,
you will always have that opportunity so far you still live, you can’t say when
you will exit the world, accept that amazing grace you don’t deserve today and
leave the pig-sty. Jesus loves you.
