‘’…God
loveth a cheerful giver…’’
We often give like ‘’..if I don’t give God this, He won’t
get enough to do what He wants to do..’’ LOL.
Maybe you forgot the God we are talking about here, the one
who owns the gold and the silver, the one who brought out money from a fish’s
mouth, the same God who wasn’t holding a penny and fed 5000.
He isn’t the kind who lacks, if He says give, look at Acts
20:35, He is saying so for your good and not for His consumption.
Pastor E.A Adeboye wrote talking in one of his devotions
about a man whom he asked to give for a project and he said he would go and
pray about it, lo and behold! Before he finished his prayers, God already made
a way. When you see an opportunity to give to God, see it as a privilege.
If the president of United States is asking you to give him
ten naira, you will go in search of it even if you don’t have and you will give
him in joy. You know he doesn’t lack, it’s just a privilege for you.
Starting from
today, watch your giving attitude, especially towards THE GIVER
